Knocked Loose Deliver Captivating Tour Finale At House Of Blues Chicago – Nov. 10, ’19

The night of Sunday, November 10, House of Blues Chicago hosted the final stop of Knocked Loose’s six week A Different Shade of Blue Tour. Just a few days before the last date, vocalist Bryan Garris called out to fans on social media who were contemplating grabbing a ticket, urging them to be there and promising it would be special. He recalled a show last October where Knocked Loose opened for Beartooth at that same venue, when he walked offstage and knew his next goal was for his own band to headline there. One year later, here they were: Headlining House of Blues Chicago after dropping one of the most prominent hardcore records of 2019.

The tour had support from Stick to Your Guns, Rotting Out, Candy, and Seeyouspacecowboy. With each set that passed, anticipation grew for the final set of the evening. By the time Stick to Your Guns had wrapped up, there was a tension in the air accompanied by the sound of country songs playing throughout the venue. Halfway through “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes, the curtains began to part, but the music did not stop. Why can’t you be bluuuuuuuue over meeeeeeeee?

When the song ended, the band stood proudly in front of us and went straight into “Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory,” making way to a set that would include almost every song off of A Different Shade of Blue, as well as a few tracks off their previous album, Laugh Tracks, and their EP, Pop Culture. The crowd of the sold out show was so tightly packed that it was hard to move about the venue. The only place to be was wherever you could direct your gaze to the stage. And before our eyes, Knocked Loose absolutely tore it down on that stage. Though tired and worn down, they mustered all the energy they had left and then some, doing as they promised to make it a special night.
